{ FEATURED SERVICE } Hypnotherapy for Women

Did you know that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of creative, focused attention and purposeful communication. Our ability to enter this profound state of consciousness opens the door to countless possibilities for healing and positive change.

Dr. Jon Connelly, founder of Rapid Trauma Resolution says, “Hypnosis is purposeful communication utilizing connection, credibility and effective language to get the desired response from the subconscious.”

From the ages of 2 years to around 6, children’s brainwaves begin to accelerate from the sleepy Delta waves to the more alert yet relaxed Theta state. That explains their rich imagination and creativity. Theta is a state of great receptivity were the subconscious mind is easily accessed. Therefore, young children have the ability to absorb information directly into the subconscious mind.

As adults, Theta is a state we access when we are drifting into sleep and just as we are waking up. We also have access to these brainwaves when we are dreaming, daydreaming, in deep hypnosis, meditating, or “in the zone” in sports.

These brainwave changes in early childhood make it possible for our subconscious mind to be programmed with limiting beliefs. We might be hypnotized to believe that we are limited, not good enough and full of flaws. Beliefs about our culture, environment, etc. are also easily programmed at this time.

In a sense then, a good hypnotherapist will unhypnotize you by helping you to remove barriers that keep you from accessing who you are and your full potential.

Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis to create the client’s desired changes in health, thinking, feelings, beliefs or behavior.

So, why then all the confusion about hypnosis?

Hypnotherapy for WomenEven though it is 100% natural and normal, hypnosis remains one of the most fascinating experiences of the human mind. Most people’s information about this state of consciousness comes from the movies or stage shows.

That type of hypnosis is purely for entertainment purposes both for the participants and the audience.

Hypnosis is not being asleep, unconscious, out of it or under it. It is not losing control, giving up control or being controlled. It does not require relaxation or concentration. It is not magic or mind control. I won’t dangle a watch in front of you or make you stand on your head or quack like a duck.

Since our brain has the ability to change brainwaves in response to the inner and outer environment, we naturally go in and out a hypnotic state throughout our day.

Have you ever watched a movie and jumped during a scary part or cried at a sad scene? Have you driven your car safely somewhere familiar and didn’t remember how you got there? Does your mouth water just thinking of some delicious food? Have you been so immerse in reading a book that you don’t hear what’s going on around you? Those are all common examples of a hypnotic state. The conscious part of your mind is distracted or deeply focused, allowing the subconscious part of the mind to be accessible.

The most important fact to remember is that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis and all healing is self-healing.
